COOL EVENT ALERT! The sleepy little village of Devens, Massachusetts<\/a> is going to be the home of a dazzling cornucopia of musicians<\/a><\/strong>, multimedia artists<\/a><\/strong> and comedians<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday, August 10th. Because that’s the day that The NINES Music + Art + Discovery Festival<\/a><\/strong> rolls into town. In all the flurry of concerts and bigger-name summer festivals, one might inadvertently skip over this brand new music and arts gathering, but that would be a mistake, as it features an impressive line-up of both internationally-known and up-and-coming artists. <\/p>\n

Presented by 3Rivers Arts<\/a> and Great Northeast Productions, Inc.<\/a>, the festival features two stages with smartly-staggered sets so you don’t miss any of the action. There will also be a comedy tent featuring emerging and established local comedians, and a dazzling array of art installations, exhibits and interactive art. Their stated mission is “to bring attention to the breadth of artistic talent in our region, bring top-tier bands to our area and build on this year after year.\u201d As we’re all about the music here, I’ll focus on that in two parts.
