give you an azure sky"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The sky is a constant, as we toil away<br \/>\nin our contracts of love, bound as slaves.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a debt to be paid, we fulfill obligations<br \/>\nallay age-old guilts or dutifully obey,<br \/>\nwith the wool securely over our eyes.<\/p>\n<p>As one speaks of pure intent through perfect blooms,<br \/>\nthey&#8217;ve already been plucked from their natural state of bliss,<br \/>\nimbued with a false purpose,<br \/>\nand surely they begin to wilt and fade.<\/p>\n<p>Bargains are struck which are ofttimes unspoken<br \/>\nresentment builds when those contracts are broken<br \/>\nwith the personal lawsuits and battles waged<br \/>\nupon breaches of faith schemes are hatched and then staged<br \/>\nand meanwhile arises a crescendo of mistrust<br \/>\nand a dark cloud obscures the azure sky.<\/p>\n<p>Each pays in turn for imagined transgressions<br \/>\nor seeks a quick salve for the heart&#8217;s rejection<br \/>\nthroughout all of time from the one to the other<br \/>\nwhile in the disguise of love.<\/p>\n<p>If I could end this mass charade right now<br \/>\nI would give you the sky with no strings attached<br \/>\nnot of puppets played nor plots imagined<br \/>\nbut only the azure sky.<\/p>\n<p>Where the birds are free in their state of bliss<br \/>\ndescending with messages from lovers delivered<br \/>\nand word from lost ones forever reunited.<\/p>\n<p>A lone eagle over a still blue lake<br \/>\ngazes down at his perfect reflection<br \/>\nhe&#8217;s startled to see it, his soul&#8217;s mirror image<br \/>\ngazing back serenely in comfort<br \/>\nfrom water that stands apart from all time<br \/>\nunder an azure sky.<\/p>\nshare this:  <a class=\"synved-social-button
