The Calder Quartet<\/a><\/strong>, as distinguished and classy string quartets go, keep some mighty strange company sometimes. Readers of this particular publication might know them for their musical adventures with The Airborne Toxic Event<\/a><\/strong> and the inimitable Andrew W.K.<\/a><\/strong>. However, on Friday night they’ll be performing more traditional string quartet fare, as part the Celebrity Series of Boston<\/a><\/strong> in beautiful Jordan Hall. You can buy tickets here<\/a><\/strong>. The performance will include music by Andrew Norman<\/a><\/strong> and Thomas Adès<\/a><\/strong>, in addition to Ravel’s “String Quartet in F Major” and Beethoven’s “String Quartet No. 11 in F minor, Opus 95, ‘Serioso.'” That’s certainly a far cry from “I Get Wet.”<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
