Clarinet, accordion, harmonica, piano, violin, washboard, bass drum, banjo, trombone, jaw harp, sousaphone &mdash; it&#8217;s a crazy jambalaya of Klezmer, vintage Dixieland jazz, New Orleans blues, old timey folk and a healthy dose of hillbilly from various bygone eras. They released their third full-length album, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theboxcarboys.bandcamp.com\/album\/cicada-ball\">Cicada Ball<\/a><\/strong>, back in September.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=2688990321\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" seamless><a href=\"http:\/\/theboxcarboys.bandcamp.com\/album\/cicada-ball\">Cicada Ball by The Boxcar Boys<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Based in Toronto, Canada, this sauce sextet plays beautifully together, weaving effortlessly in and out of each other&#8217;s sophisticated playing. They&#8217;re amazing &mdash; both incredibly accomplished and delightfully whimsical. In addition to their usual (unusual) instrumentation, the album features cello banjo (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sheeshamandlotus.com\/\">Sheesham and Lotus<\/a><\/strong>), Adrian Gross on mandolin (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/slocanramblers.com\/\">The Slocan Ramblers<\/a><\/strong>) and Michael Eckert on dobro (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thedoublecuts.com\/\">The Double Cuts<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; width: 250px; padding-top: 20px; padding-right:15px; \"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/widgets.itunes.apple.com\/widget.html?c=us&#038;brc=FFFFFF&#038;blc=FFFFFF&#038;trc=FFFFFF&#038;tlc=FFFFFF&#038;d=&#038;t=&#038;m=music&#038;e=album&#038;w=250&#038;h=300&#038;ids=1042192015&#038;wt=discovery&#038;partnerId=&#038;affiliate_id=&#038;at=1000l7zm&#038;ct=\" frameborder=0 style=\"overflow-x:hidden;overflow-y:hidden;width:250px;height: 300px;border:0px\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<div style=\"float: left; width: 235px; padding-top: 20px; \">If you happen to live in Toronto, you&#8217;re in luck. The Boxcar Boys (and girls) seem to have a residency going on at the wonderfully-named <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cestwhat.com\/\">C&#8217;est What<\/a><\/strong>. They&#8217;re also playing at the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharbotlakeinn.com\/\">Sharbot Lake Country Inn<\/a><\/strong> on November 28. My guess is that a lot of crazy unhinged dancing and general merriment and mayhem will ensue. Hmm, I wonder if these guys know about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/honkfest.org\/\">the Honk!
