gathering, a celebration<br \/>\na myriad of different rooms,<br \/>\nthough I gravitated to a room where there<br \/>\nwas David Bowie music playing.<\/p>\n<p>Was it a memorial?<br \/>\nThe music was challenging\u2013some of his more obscure work<br \/>\nI was alone, listening, standing in this installation.<\/p>\n<p>There was a structure, a large archway,<br \/>\nwhere speakers had been set up.<\/p>\n<p>As I stood underneath the magical archway, entranced,<br \/>\nothers came into the room.<br \/>\nSomebody marveled at the obscure, unusual music.<\/p>\n<p>We all moved to a round table in a banquet hall,<br \/>\nnext to where this installation had been mounted.<br \/>\nI carefully set up 4 or 5 place settings of drinks,<br \/>\nand then placed a dish of nuts in the middle.<\/p>\n<p>My movements, as I did this,<br \/>\nfelt precise and purposeful,<br \/>\nas if with spiritual intent.<br \/>\nWe all sat down at this table,<br \/>\nto talk about David and share our stories.<\/p>\n<p><em>[10\/11\/17: This may well have had something to do with Dale Perry\u2019s <strong>My Bowie Story<\/strong> collection &mdash; it\u2019s out now! <strong><a
