She put out her debut EP in June of 2012. Listen to <a href=\"http:\/\/piscesmusic.bandcamp.com\/\">Flower Toes<\/a> below and scoop it up for a small price. It&#8217;s called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mergerecords.com\/store\/store_detail.php?catalog_id=896\">Eight<\/a>, and it comes out January 29 (digital and vinyl only). There&#8217;s a listening party at Origami Vinyl in Los Angeles and shows in San Francisco, Merced and L.A. They finished the <a href=\"http:\/\/rademacher.bandcamp.com\/\">Baby Hawk<\/a> concept EP trilogy (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonsurvivalguide.net\/wordpress\/2012\/03\/on-the-outside-looking-in-%e2%80%93-the-story-of-baby-hawk\/\">which I wrote about<\/a>), set up a very successful IndiGogo campaign to get vinyl pressed, and got themselves&mdash;finally&mdash;to SXSW. They also did a session on Daytrotter. Current members include Malcolm Sosa, Kim Haden, RC Essig, Jon Hadden and Eli Reyes (unless there&#8217;s something I don&#8217;t know, which there often is). They had a fall tour, and are actually back out playing this month at a dozen shows across California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. Apart from that, they put out an absolutely amazing album, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rslblog.com\/2012\/06\/new-direction-for-silversun-pickups.html\">Neck of the Woods<\/a>, embarked on a world tour, and brought along the rock goddess <a href=\"http:\/\/sarahnegahdari.tumblr.com\/\">Sarah Negahdari<\/a> to fill in for Nikki on bass during her maternity leave. I&#8217;d say that&#8217;s a full year. The band at this point in time features: Brian Cleary, Be Hussey, Paul Larson, Seb Bailey and Jim Putnam. They&#8217;re currently working on their debut album. They did finally preview a few of the songs at some recent shows, and gave some hints about the direction of the new album during an interview for WatchMojo:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"360\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kGmOcMUmUbI?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You can also hear part of the studio version of &#8220;Timeless,&#8221; the lead single, on a promo for the popular TV show, &#8220;Once Upon a Time.&#8221; &#8220;Timeless&#8221; gets released to alternative radio on January 15, nicely coinciding with the first of two sold out shows at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.websterhall.com\/\">Webster Hall<\/a> in New York City. They will be touring this year in support of the new album. However, Mary and Eli will be continuing with their duo project, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dawnofsequins.com\/\">Dawn of Sequins<\/a>. They&#8217;ll be putting out their debut album this year and performing shows.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.themonolators.com\/\">web<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/monolators.blogspot.com\">blog<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/themonolators\">facebook<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/monolators\">twit<\/a><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"parsonredheads\">The Parson Red Heads<\/h4>\n<p>This is one band I&#8217;m going to hate to &#8220;lose&#8221; in this regular roundup, but they <em>are<\/em> based in Portland, Oregon, and have been for a while now. Ah well, one last time. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparsonredheads.com\">The Parson Red Heads<\/a> released their <a href=\"http:\/\/timbercarnival.com\/main\/store\/\">Murmurations<\/a> EP in March. They also re-released a deluxe edition (with six bonus tracks and liner notes) of their wonderful album <a href=\"http:\/\/secondmotionrecords.com\/artists\/the-parson-red-heads.html\">Yearling<\/a> on Second Motion Records.
