Geese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alone I struggle with the snow<br \/>\nthe anger with the sadness grows<br \/>\ncan&#8217;t seem to rise up from below<br \/>\nI feel so blindly lost.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m out of step and out of time<br \/>\nhow difficult to find that rhyme<br \/>\nwhere life flows, not in fits and starts<br \/>\nI curse the bitter cold.<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the parade<br \/>\nmarch by me in the grand charade<br \/>\nthey seem to speak in unknown tongues<br \/>\noutside I stand unknown.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not part of this perfect game<br \/>\ninternal rhythms not the same<br \/>\nI wander just outside the maze<br \/>\nlocked in a different time.<\/p>\n<p>The geese have said &#8220;it matters not,<br \/>\nfor we&#8217;ve taken you into our flock&#8221;<br \/>\nI cease my work to gaze above<br \/>\ninto the sullen sky.<\/p>\n<p>I hear them first, then see their flight<br \/>\nthe violent wind they&#8217;ve caught just right<br \/>\nthough sideways turned, they&#8217;re in formation<br \/>\npassing overhead.<\/p>\n<p>Above my roof they pause at once<br \/>\nand hover motionless like clouds<br \/>\na bold display on my behalf<br \/>\nin wonder, I laugh out loud.<\/p>\n<p>They stay suspended, for seconds hover<br \/>\nfly back across with sky as cover<br \/>\naway to distant shores.<\/p>\n<p>The message I believe is this:<br \/>\nto those of you who feel adrift<br \/>\na novel twist and you will lift<br \/>\nto sky with wind at back.<\/p>\n<p>This flight may be to you at first<br \/>\nuncomfortable, not of this earth<br \/>\nbut in the end you&#8217;ll see with mirth<br \/>\nyou&#8217;ll land just where you&#8217;ve wished.<\/p>\n<p>Take heart, my struggling little bird<br \/>\nand listen to our feathered
