Boston multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Mike Fiore of Faces On Film will (with a full band) be performing music from his beautifully dreamy just reissued Some Weather album (Nice Music Group). It’s an attractive mix of 60s Brit, Americana and old-timey. He’ll be joined by San Francisco musician Mirah. Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn has been performing since 1997, releasing over a dozen recordings (most recently on K Records), and collaborating with such artists as Ginger Brooks Takahashi, Black Cat Orchestra, Phil Elvrum (Microphones), and Tune-Yards. Her latest recording, with Thao Nguyen (with whom she’s toured) features her sweetly disarming, precocious vocals, which then take off and seriously wail when you least expect it. Spinning tunes between sets will be DJ LeahV. The concert is in a lovely outdoor setting, the MFA’s Calderwood Courtyard.
